Mending with various techniques incl. Sashiko stitching

This workshop is a cooperation with the Nelson Women's Centre who also handles the bookings.

You can learn various techniques  including sashiko stitching for mending your clothes, starting from basic hand-stitches that are useful for simple mending.

Sashiko has been used for mending clothes in Japan for thousands of years. Learn the basics of mending techniques for your favourite clothes. No sewing experience is required.
